Our Story
Independent Plumbing & Heating
We're the founders, Keir & Tom. We first met aged 3 at a Nursery school called Beatrix Potter, which is located in Earlsfield, South West London. This is where our independent plumbing and heating business name is derived from.
Growing Apart
Growing up throughout the years, our families always remained close. After leaving school, however, we took different career paths. It was not long before we both found ourselves gravitating towards the construction industry, where we have amassed 22 years of collective experience. During that time, we have progressed from young apprentice plumbers to fully-trained plumbing and heating specialists in Wandsworth, fully certified, with a variety of accreditations from numerous companies in the industry. We then, separately, became business owners, running independent plumbing & heating companies named SW Plumbers and Mason Plumbing & Heating, respectively. They were based in London & Surrey.
Coming Together
Since a young age it has always been a dream of ours that one day we would work together. In 2019, we decided that it was the right time to expand and officially teamed up to work together. We both have a wide variety of skills, expertise & experience in a range of different fields within the renovation and independent plumbing and heating industries, which we feel complement one another well, as a team.
Rebranding
In December 2021 we decided to give our company, Beatrix Renovations, a subtle branding make-over, to create Beatrix Home. Our aim is to provide a full range of property services, whether that be in maintenance or renovation, for both domestic & commercial properties. We pride ourselves on our high standard finishing of work, our smart appearance, excellent time-keeping and our honest, personable approach to every job, from start to finish, regardless of the size of the project.

Meet The Team
Keir
Director/ Gas Engineer
With over a decade of domestic plumbing and gas experience, Keir has a wealth of technical knowledge, specialising in boiler breakdowns and fault-finding. Keir started his career in the plumbing industry when he was 16 years old. Following successfully completing his apprenticeship and learning his trade, he acquired his Gas Safe license and set up his own independent plumbing and heating company (SW Plumbers).
Keir also has a keen eye for design and his creative side has been an important part in Beatrix expanding the Bathroom installation side of the company.
Tom
Director/ Gas Engineer
Tom started his career in the plumbing industry after graduating from University and working, in the public sector, as an apprentice with Keir at SW Plumbers. Following completion of his apprenticeship Tom set up his own independent plumbing and heating business (Mason Plumbing & Heating).
Tom is a very personable individual who brings great organisational and project management skills to the company.
Chloe
Office Manager
Chloe joined Beatrix in early 2021 from the John Lewis & Waitrose Partnership. A highly motivated individual who goes above and beyond her job role, Chloe has been an integral part of the Beatrix team in the day-to-day operations and running of the business. Chloe has put in place numerous policies and procedures to help improve the service Beatrix provide.
Matthew
Heating and Plumbing Engineer
Matt joined Beatrix in January 2020, when he moved to London from his hometown in Winchester, Hampshire. Matt was Beatrix's first official member of staff. He is a self-proclaimed perfectionist, who continues to produce high standards of work on a daily basis. Matt is a hard-working, honest engineer and this is evident with the feedback we've received from clients over the years, where he leads by example!
Jack
Heating and Plumbing Engineer
Jack originally learnt his trade with SW Plumbers and was Keir's apprentice. Jack has worked with Keir and, now, Tom for 5 years. He has become an exceptional domestic plumber and heating engineer in that time. Following in Keir's footsteps, Jack enjoys the boiler breakdown and fault-finding side of the job. Jack continues to improve his skillset and is always looking to improve his knowledge with new products on the market.
Sarah
Apprentice Plumber
Sarah has recently joined our team as an apprentice. She has great aspirations in the plumbing field which really blew Keir and Tom away. After an initial phone call and interview she was hired with immediate effect having been so impressed. She has continued to progress at an exceptional rate.
